International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Women’s Fund” launches a long-term campaign “First Step to Success”, aimed at opening potential of girls – future leaders, developing their leadership abilities and skills, as well as involving girls in active participation in social life of Moldova. |

We believe that girls and young women play a special role in life of their country. That’s why Ukrainian Women’s Fund starts implementing First Step to Success program of young women’s leadership in Moldova.
Dear girls, if you
· are from 17 to 24 years of age,
· believe that a modern young woman is able to achieve success
and influence her own life and the life of her community
· have leadership abilities,
· look for opportunities for personal development,
· want to be useful for your community,
· dream to implement own project,
· wait for start-up support to implement your initiatives,
we invite you to try your strength, take part in the contest and become a winner of First Step to Success Program.
The contest winners will have opportunity to:
· spend 3 days in Chisinau to get acquainted with their peers – program winners, successful girls;
· take part in training programs and master classes;
· take part in mini-grants competition and receive financing to implement their leadership projects and ideas;
· get acquainted with success stories of First Step to Success winners from Ukraine;
· be involved in other events and international projects.
Participation in the program, including travel, accommodation and meals, is free of charge for the winners.
To participate in the contest it is necessary:
1. To find the idea how to improve the life of a certain group of people in your community. Think over the details and steps of its implementation.
2. Describe your plans according to application form “I want to improve the life of my community”. The form is attached. You can fill it in one of two languages: Russian or English
3. Send your work before October 15, 2013 to e-mail anna@uwf.org.ua.
Your chance to become a winner will be higher with recommendation letter from civil society activists or women’s civil society organizations.
First Step to Success program has been implemented in Ukraine since 2006, contributing to development and support for girls and young women, who wish to bring benefit to their communities, but have not enough opportunities, knowledge, experience to implement their initiatives.
