First Step to Success Program is being launched in Moldova.

Ukrainian Women's Fund launches the long-term program First Step to Success aimed at opening potential of young women and girls - future leaders, developing their leadership capacities and skils, as well as involving the girls in active participation in Moldova's social life.

Announcing the contest, our team hopes that in October we'll receive a lot of applications from inspired, creative, non-indifferent and purposeful girls from different parts of Moldova. And as soon as November we'll meet with those whose works will be selected as the best. The meeting of First Step to Success contest winners will take place in November 2013 in Chisinau. Duering this meeting the winners will have trainings and master-classes, meetings and communications. The second stage that will follow will be grants competition to implement ideas for improving lives of local communities. Along with financing the UWF will provide informational and methodological support.

The First Step to Success Program has been implemented in Ukraine since 2006 contributing to development and support for girls who want to be helpful for their communities. As of today Ukrainian network of the program supporters makes over 250 persons; there have been 69 supported projects, 6 created youth organizations, numerous meetings, common events and implemented ideas.

We believe that girls and young women play a special role in life of their country.
